The insurance companies do not want you shopping your coverage. They want you to stay right where you are and keep overpaying on premiums. But the truth is that Medigap Plans A-N are IDENTICAL from company to company. If you call your insurance company or captive agent, they will not tell you the best prices available in your area. They would never tell you how much you can save for identical coverage by going to their competitor for your Medicare supplement plan. You can shop ALL available options for your plan in your area. Our service is FREE. It costs you nothing. Check out the video to see what is possible when shopping your Plan F, Plan G, or any Medigap plan.

2018 Medicare Supplement Insurance Open Enrollment Period/ 2018 Annual Enrollment/Election Period. Which applies to me? Do I have to make any changes this year?
If you’re on Medicare, like most people, it’s easy to get confused on if you need to make any changes annually to your Medicare supplemental coverage. For example, if you have Medicare Supplement OR Part C Medicare Advantage coverage.
This brief video outlines what the differences are between the Annual Medicare enrollment/election period- and your one-time Medicare Supplement Open Enrollment period.
If you’re already on Medicare, then you have an annual enrollment period that goes from 10/15- 12/07 of each year. During this time, you can make changes to your Medicare Part D drug coverage, as well as your Medicare Advantage coverage (if applicable).
When turning 65 or if you’re 65 and older, and your Part B starts for the first time, this triggers your one-time, Medicare Supplement Open Enrollment Period, and it lasts for 6 months. This time period allows you to buy any Medicare Supplement plan available in your area, with no health underwriting involved. You can’t be denied.
If you have a Medicare Supplement plan, the annual enrollment/election period doesn’t really apply to you, as your Medicare Supplement plan is guaranteed renewable for life as long as premiums are paid. Your coverage and benefits remain the same from year to year. If you feel like you want to switch/change your Medicare Supplement insurance plan, you can apply to do that 365 days a year. However, if you’re outside of your Medicare Supplement Open enrollment period, you will have to answer health questions and be approved for the plan in order to change. If you feel you’re paying too much, please contact me.
During the Annual Election Period: Which in now through Dec. 7th
You may add or drop Medicare Advantage coverage and/or drug coverage, or return to Original Medicare and buy a Medicare Supplement plan (if you qualify).
No action is needed if you choose to keep your Medicare Advantage plan. Although, you should check for any benefit changes under the plan for the upcoming year.
You may make more than one enrollment choice during the Annual Election Period, but the last one made prior to the end of the Annual Election Period, as determined by the date the plan or your agent receives the completed enrollment form, will be the election that takes effect.
If you have any questions about your current coverage and to see if it would be beneficial to make any changes, please reach out to me.

2018 Medicare Supplement Plans | What Do I Need to Do?
If you are on a Medicare Supplement plan, this end-of-the-year Medicare season has nothing to do with you, except for the need you have to shop your drug plan.
Medicare Supplements (not to be confused with Medicare “Advantage” plan), do not change benefits and you cannot be canceled from such a plan. Your Medicare Supplement, whether Plan G, Plan F, Plan N, etc. will remain with the same benefits as when you signed up.
What can change? The rates. If you are notified of a rate increase, you can shop your Medicare Supplement plan ANY time of the year, not just in October, November, or December of each year. You are in complete control and there is not a “season” for shopping Medicare Supplement plans.
Medicare Advantage plans change every year and it is critically important that you shop those plans during the small, eight-week period of the “Annual Election Period.” We do not specialize in these plans due to their complexity and the number of problems we have seen with senior clients on these, sometimes “free”/no premium HMO plans throughout the country.
My Medicare Supplement shopping service is 100% free. If you would like to know the BEST plans available where you live, please call me at 1-800-729-9590. You can actually call 24 hours a day here. We will get you the best, unbiased, independent rate information customized for what you qualify for, which is far different than just giving you a “quote engine” and having you look at companies that might not even be available for you, given, your health qualifications, etc.
If you would like to NOT have to become and insurance agent in order to figure out the best plan and you would like some behind-the-scenes help from an agency who has helped thousands of clients in 46 states over the past 25 years, please call my office.
There is no charge for my help. How? The same way there is no charge for your auto insurance agent’s help, or homeowner’s insurance agent. We work the same way. By being independent, we work for our client, not the insurance company. This way, we keep your best interest in mind when shopping the market.
We will show you all of the available companies, then make a recommendation based on our actual experience with those companies in your market. This experience is priceless in the selection process.
Please let me help you.

Dealing with the thought of Medicare Part D might seem overwhelming, but today I’m going to show you how easy it is to find the right Part D plan using Medicare’s Plan Finder Tool.
So, why is it important to use Medicare’s plan finder tool, instead of just buying the Part D plan your friend, spouse or neighbor uses? Well, there are more than 20 part D plans available and they’re not a one size fits all type of insurance coverage.
Just because your friend’s plan works well for them, doesn’t mean it will work for you and your medications. The point is to find a Part D plan that covers your existing medications for the least amount of money.
And, thankfully, The Plan Finder tool provides you with an annual estimate of costs based on your medications..so you can make an informed decision about your Part D Plan.
